The official Export Awards ceremony of The Spanish Chamber of Commerce, Zaragoza was held Thursday May 7th. As already announced through a press conference the week before, this year's Export awards went to Decan Sports Equipment along with three other strong exporting companies in the region; The Pikolin Group, ABB, and Magapor.
The award ceremony, sponsored by CESCE (the Spanish Credit Insurance Company for Export) and Banco Sabadell, gathered representatives from more than 300 companies and actors operating in the regions exporting industries.
The four awarded companies operate in completely different sectors, but they all share one common denominator: Innovation. Decan Sports Equipment received the Export Award 2014 as an 'Exporter Entrepreneur" and a company providing their clients with high quality Sports Equipment and Spectator Seating Solutions developed by highly qualified engineers and using technologically advanced production facilities.
ABB and Magapor received their respective category awards as global technological leaders in their fields; Distribution transformers (ABB) and swine reproduction (Magapor), while the Pikolin Group received a Special Award for their International trajectory and leading position in their sector, gained in large part through investments in R&D. The company has got the highest number of patents in its sector, is leader Spain, France and Portugal and has become the second largest European group in the bedding industry.
